Ken Rockwell
Ken Rockwell is the world's most-read photography author, with a quarter-million readers coming to his website, KenRockwell.com, every day from every point on the globe.
Ken started photographing at age 5, and got serious at age 11. He's been published widely since age 15. The son of a pilot, Ken's aerial works were in the permeant collections of two different libraries before he turned 20. More recently, Ken's works have garnered top awards in juried competitions and museum exhibitions.
Ken is also a degreed electronic engineer with two US patents, and has been professionally involved in electronic and digital imaging continuously since age 15. Ken was developing professional HDTV and digital photography equipment back in the 1980s, and worked in Hollywood, California, USA from 1995-2004, when he retired to develop his website full time.
Intimately familiar with every technical nuance, Ken spends his time today trying to teach people that seeing and vision are far more important to making great pictures than anything technical.
