ONLINE GLOSSARY OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPY

Wrong reading image

From The Glossary of Digital Photography

Jump to: navigation, search

An image printed backwards, either accidentally or purposefully. The image is a mirror image of itself. This is a feature of some image software because it enables a photographer to display an image to clients in a way that looks more familiar to them. Most people are used to seeing themselves only in a mirror, so a photograph can look 'backward' to them. By displaying the image in a mirror-image form, people see themselves as if they were looking in a mirror.
