Wavelength

The length between two waves. Wavelength can be measured between any two similar points on a series of waves, but is usually measured between two peaks. Since light is a waveform, different colors of light can be specified by their wavelength.. Digital photographers concern themselves mainly with the visible light spectrum, which has a wavelength of about 400 to 700 nanometers. See also visible spectrum
