Also called a vector image. A graphic image made up of vectors, which are called paths. These paths form various geometric shapes such as squares, circles, and polygons. Each of these paths is mathematically defined so it can be scaled upward without developing artifacts. Since the shapes are vectors, and not pixels, there is no pixelation when the resolution is increased. See also vector
