Transfer rate

A measure of how fast information such as digital images can be either transferred within a computer system, from one computer system to another computer system within a local network or uploaded through an online network. This transfer rate is often expressed in bytes per second, bits per second, kilobytes per second, kilobits per second, or even megabytes per second. See also bit; byte
