Stitching

The process of putting together a number of digital images to create a larger digital image. This can be done manually with the aid of an image-manipulation program such as Photoshop, or automatically with specialized software and hardware. Stitching can be used, for example, to create an ultrawide, panoramic image; a wide-angle image of a subject when space is limited; or a higher-resolution image.
