Static random access memory (S-RAM or static RAM)

Memory that does not need to be refreshed to maintain its content. The information stored is static, but power must be applied continuously to maintain it. S-RAM is a semiconductor memory. Other types of memory include SDRAM and DRAM. See also SDRAM; DRAM; RAM
