Spatial resolution

(1) The resolution, in pixels, of a digital image. The measurement of the total number of pixels is usually expressed as the horizontal measurement by the vertical measurement. An example would be an image that is 1,280 x 960 pixels. (2) The size of the smallest subject that a digital camera and lens can resolve. See also resolution
