Scanning back
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
Also called a digital scan back. A digital-imaging device attached to the back of medium-format or large-format cameras. A high-quality and, therefore, expensive device, the scanning back generally has CCD or CMOS image sensors. Exposure times are generally long, which often limits the scanning back's use to still-life subjects. File sizes are very large, so the scanning back is usually attached to a computer during use.
