Quick mask

A function in Photoshop that attempts to create a mask for the user. The mask is displayed as a color overlay on top of an object and can be used to separate the object (or objects) form the background. After creating a quick mask, the photographer uses other tools, such as the paintbrush or lasso tool, to refine the edges of the mask and clean it up. See
