A function on some digital cameras allowing the user to leave the camera in program mode and yet quickly vary the combinations of correct exposure by simply turning a single dial. This function facilitates finding a higher or lower shutter speed or a higher or lower aperture (f-stop) setting without leaving the program mode. See also program mode
