Pixel density

A measure of resolution usually stated as pixels per inch (ppi) or pixels per millimeter. Pixel density can be used to describe the resolution for a scanner, monitor, or digital camera. It should not be confused with dots per inch (dpi), which is used for printing resolution. See also pixel; ppi
