Picture disk

A format similar to Photo CD developed by Kodak for consumer digital images created by scanning from film. The images are stored in JPEG format on a 3.5-inch floppy disk. Each floppy holds 28 images, and the size of each image is about 900 KB when compressed. See also Photo CD (PCD); JPEG; floppy disk
