Munsell system

From The Glossary of Digital Photography

Jump to: navigation, search

A color system developed by Professor Albert H. Munsell, who was also an artist. The Munsell system is based on hue, value (or lightness), and chroma. It is based on the five hues of red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. One of the system's deficiencies is the lack of cyan and magenta. See also hue; value; chroma
