Millions of colors

Also called Truecolor. The term applied, generally on Macintosh and Linux computers, to representations of color that utilize one byte per channel for three channels of color. This leads to 256 colors per channel or 16,777,216 (256 x 256 x 256 = 16,777,216) colors.
