Memory card

Also called flash memory cards. Memory location where images are stored on a camera to be transferred to a computer. The memory card is removable from the camera. Memory cards are used in other digital devices besides cameras. Images stored on memory cards will remain there even if power is removed. Popular types of memory cards include CompactFlash, Memory Stick, Secure Digital, and

xD-Picture Card.
