Landscape mode

A horizontal image, that is, one in which the longest dimension of the image is parallel to the horizon. Landscape mode is so named because most landscape images are horizontal. The opposite of landscape mode is portrait mode, which is the term sometimes given to vertical images. See also portrait mode
