Internet service provider (ISP)
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
A company that provides a connection from a computer to the Internet. These connections can be by dial-up, cable modem, DSL, satellite, among other technologies. Most digital photographers have an ISP, and usually try to get the fastest connection possible to the Internet in order to send their images—often very large files—online to commercial clients, publishers, album companies, and photography labs.
