A palette or information window in Photoshop that allows the user to move the cursor and read the color values of pixels. The information shown is selectable by the user. The palette can include the RGB value on an 8-bit, 0 to 255 scale, or on a 16-bit, 0 to 32,768 scale, depending the version of Photoshop being used. It can also include grayscale value, CMYK value, and several other values. Two values can be shown at the same time, along with their location on the x- and y-axes. See RGB and CMYK
