Jump to: navigation, search

The process of assigning a file name to an image file or other file. It is important that a file name is unique; it makes searching for it easier. There are a variety of different naming schemes, including those with dates and times or other logical elements. It is best to have a file name made up only of numbers, letters, the - (dash), and the _ (underscore) so that they will be acceptable on all computer systems.
