Electronic rangefinder

(1) The electronic display of distance information. (2) An indication, frequently a dot displayed in the viewfinder, that an image is in focus. This indication is useful when focusing manually. (3) A system that measures the distance to a subject electronically, as opposed to an optical rangefinder.
