EISA bus
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
EISA is the acronym for enhanced industry standard architecture, which is a bus designed for PCs. The EISA bus uses multiprocessing, using 32-bit architecture. It was designed to compete with another bus from IBM. It has been replaced in more current computers with a local bus called PCI. The type of bus determines the type of expansion card needed in a particular computer. See also bus
