Drag and drop
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
A computer technique to move objects, specifically photographs in this case, from one location on a computer to another. The object is clicked on with the mouse, and then the mouse is moved (dragged) while still holding down the button. Once the object is at the new location, the mouse button is released (dropped) and the object stays at the new location. This is a quick and graphical technique to move things from one folder to another, from a folder to the desktop, from one disk drive to another, or from the desktop to a folder. Some software programs will accept input by dragging items and dropping them onto the program icon. The program will then launch and perform an action. A droplet works the same way in Photoshop.
