Domain

(1) The virtual host for a website on the Internet. The term domain name refers to a custom website URL, such as joesphotography.com. Sometimes the term domain is used incorrectly to describe the URL, when it should be called domain name. (2) Photographs available for free use under certain conditions, as in public-domain photographs. (3) The whole digital world, as in digital domain. This last meaning is similar to digital realm.
