Dodge
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
A technique by which light is held back from portions of an image to make part of the image lighter. Although the term was originally created to refer to a darkroom technique with film, the digital equivalent is the dodge tool in Photoshop. The actual process is called dodging. See also burning in
