Digital print order format (DPOF)
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
A format that allows the photographer to specify if an image is to be printed, its size, the number of copies to be printed, and other information. The DPOF is accessed and filled out via menus on the camera. The information is stored in text files in a directory on the memory card. This allows the photographer to print directly from the memory card on his or her own printer or at a photo lab.
