(1) Digital memory storage cards in the term's most common usage. In digital photography, the digital memory cards take the place of film and are placed into a digital camera to record the image just as film did in analog photography. (2) Digital motion picture techniques. In the case of digital film, the motion picture or movie is represented by pixels instead of film. Digital film has higher resolution than digital video systems.
