Diffusion dithering

Using randomly placed pixels, rather than a pattern of pixels, when dithering. This is done so that dithering can be better blended between two differing tones or colors. The pixels are generally two different colors trying to simulate a third color or black and white pixels trying to simulate grayscale images. See also dithering
