DRAM buffer

From The Glossary of Digital Photography

Jump to: navigation, search

A temporary storage location for images found in a number of digital cameras. Images are stored in the DRAM buffer until they can be processed by the camera and then written to the digital memory storage card. The higher the pixel count and the faster the shooting speed, the larger the DRAM buffer must be to store images. See also buffer; DRAM
