Custom panels

From The Glossary of Digital Photography

Jump to: navigation, search

Also called custom file info panels. A feature of Canon digital cameras. Other brands of cameras may have a similar feature with a different name. Custom panels allow the photographer to adjust the XMP metadata that will be stored in the image file with an automatic action to repeat placing the same information into the metadata in an image. This would allow, for example, the creation of custom metadata properties needed in an internal application for a company's database or for a stock agency.
