Cukaloris

Also called cookie. Used by photographers to generate patterns on the background. A cukaloris is a panel with holes cut into it that is placed in front of a light. Sometimes the pattern projected is of random shapes; at other times, it is a recognizable pattern, such as window panes or palm leaves. It is a quick and easy way to dress up an image.
