Credit

(1) The listing of the creator of an image when it is printed. Credit is usually rendered as photo by Joe Photographer. (2) A field in Photoshop that indicates how the credit should be written when it is used. Generally, credit is only given in editorial use such as books, magazines, and newspapers, but not when used in advertising. Credit usually goes to the creator of the image. See also creator
