Contrast gradient

The measurement of the contrast in a photograph. Calculating the contrast gradient is done by measuring the separation of tones in the photograph. A high-contrast gradient is found in a high-contrast image, and a low-contrast gradient is found in a low-contrast image. See also dynamic range
