Color management

Also known as color matching. The process of assuring that colors are correctly described, displayed, and printed throughout an imaging workflow. This is done by calibrating each device to a standard and maintaining the standards throughout the workflow. Color management involves the use of both software and hardware and produces profiles that are applied to each device so that each device can correct its values to calibrated values.
