Cache

Data that is temporarily stored in a special area in a computer to make access to it faster. Sometimes this data is the result of calculations, and storing it saves the computer the time necessary to recalculate it. Caches are often used with image files. For example, information about images such as rotations or ratings maybe cached, which speeds up subsequent viewing of those images.
