Burst mode

Also known as continuous mode. A digital camera mode that fires a series of images quickly when the shutter is pressed. This feature is useful for studying events that happen quickly and in such areas as sports photography. The camera will continue taking photographs, as long as the shutter release is pressed, until the camera's buffer is filled. This is why the specifications on digital cameras indicate the speed in frames per second for a set number of frames. See also buffer
