Array camera
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
A digital camera designed to capture an image with a single pass or exposure that captures all three primary colors (red, green, and blue). Some cameras do not have an array of pixels designed to capture three colors, so they require three passes, one for each color, in order to complete the image capture. This is usually found only in larger-format digital cameras, such as digital backs for medium-format and view cameras, or in special-purpose digital cameras.
