ONLINE GLOSSARY OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPY

Angle of refraction

From The Glossary of Digital Photography

Jump to: navigation, search

The angle at which light rays bend when the light is refracted as it travels through one medium into another. This occurs when light rays enter the front surface of a lens and again when it exits. Because modern lenses are often made up of a series of lens elements, the light will be refracted as it enters and exits each lens element. See also refraction of light
