Adobe RGB (1998)
From The Glossary of Digital Photography
An ICC color space that is becoming the standard for many commercial and stock photography applications. Larger than the sRGB color space, the Adobe RGB (1998) color space was developed by Adobe Systems in 1998, hence its name. Although created by Adobe, the color space is available for use in many other applications because of licensing agreements made by the other applications' developers with Adobe. It is one of the main color spaces used by digital photographers. Many stock agencies have set Adobe RGB (1998) as their standard color space. See also sRGB
